What is Massage Therapy at Lift?

Massage therapy at Lift is built to help our clients address their goals through a whole-body assessment and treatment methods. Whether your goal is to get rid of knots, headaches, pain and restriction, or to build a platform of movement and performance to take you to the podium, our approach to RMT is designed to meet your needs. Most people associate massage therapy with getting under the sheets and having a long restful and relaxing treatment – something we often do when clients need to boost recovery or reduce stress. But we also like to say, this is not the spa. Our therapists have trained and practiced to be able to assess and reassess movement throughout your session to ensure we address the root cause of an issue and make lasting change

How We Work With Coaches

Many of our clients train in the gym to help get the results they want in sport and life. We collaborate with strength coaches and sport coaches from Vancouver and the surrounding areas to help our motivated clients reach for their dreams. We also work extensively with in-house strength coaches through our partner, Enhanced Performance. As a massage therapist, having access to elite strength coaches who have put in extensive hours training, studying and teaching their craft inspires us every day, but also sets us apart in our ability to meet the needs of our proactive clientele. Not to mention, our therapists have extensive sport coaching experience, and work in the gym to overcome their own challenges. So we aspire to talk your language whether your goal is to have a better sleep tonight, or develop and retain the ability to touch your toes!

Or maybe increase explosive jumping and sprinting ability while avoiding knee pain. We achieve this sometimes through massage treatment alone, but also, often in collaboration with the disciplines at Lift – physiotherapy and chiropractic. As a group we have studied and practiced our assessment methods together, so you can access the collective skillset of our team to solve problems that we all are able to see as one. Massage therapy may be the most intuitive starting point but feel free to ask us how a team approach might help you in your situation
